He was shot in the ear by a gunman who also claimed the life of one attendee and injured two others before being fatally killed by Secret Service agents. Despite the chaos, Trump took cover behind his lectern, shielded by agents, and later with blood on his face, shouted a defiant "Fight, fight!" as he was escorted off the stage.
